Company Profile
UCP Chemicals is a leading player in the Russian market by virtue of its position as a producer of synthetic resins, which are manufactured by means of the conversion and processing of petrochemical raw materials. For example, synthetic resins are used in wood processing, in producing abrasives, for foundry products and insulating materials, as well as in the oil and gas sector and the rubber industry. The resins are primarily used as binding agents and glues. Many of these products are tailor made by UCP Chemicals in accordance with individual customer requirements.
On the one hand, UCP Chemicals profits from its product portfolio. At the same time, the company has benefited from the overproportional sectoral growth achieved by its customer industries as well as growing global demand for specialized chemical products. UCP Chemicals has market shares of up to 75% in some segments on the Russian market, and boasts long-term customer relationships with numerous important companies. The bulging investment pipeline is designed to ensure future corporate growth. UCP Chemicals builds upon 70 years of market experience in implementing future-oriented projects. This long track record is reflected in the solid financial results of the company.
In terms of both management systems and R&D activities, UCP Chemicals combines the best features from Russia and Europe to ensure the continuing successful development of the company - namely the competitive advantages offered by the production facility Nizhniy Tagil in the Ural region fused with international technological and management know-how. Furthermore, the company has concluded cooperation agreements with well-known national and international product and technology partners. This symbiosis is the basis for the exceptional understanding and sensitivity towards markets, technologies and product quality.
The core shareholders of UCP Chemicals are the company's founders, Thomas Bogdanowicz and Alexander E. Gerdt. Their presence in the Supervisory Board and Management Board of the company enables them to optimally contribute their expertise. In the year 2006, a private placement was placed among institutional investors.
