The production of methanol and the operation of a methanol plant represent the entry of UCP Chemicals into the high margin gas chemistry market. In this regard, UCP Chemicals aims to benefit from several strategic advantages:
The implementation of this project will provide UCP Chemicals with one of the most advanced and largest methanol production facilities in all of Russia. The annual production capacity of 600,000 tons would not only cover the company's own methanol requirements, but also develop the high margin methanol business and serve as the basis for developing further methanol-based products.
This project is going to be implemented in cooperation with the strong Russian partner ITERA and a regional infrastructure fund.
