Paraformaldehyde is used as a raw material in the production of synthetic resins, varnishes, glues, pharmaceutical products and disinfectants for commercial cleaning.
Production capacity totals about 2,250 tons per year.
UCP Chemicals AG starts production of resin coated proppants with German technology
Nizhny Tagil, May 1st, 2008 - OAO Uralchimplast, an affiliate of the Austrian UCP Chemicals AG, which is headquartered in Vienna, started its production of resin coated proppants (RCP) in April 2008. This poduct is based on ceramics and phenolic resins and is used by the oil- and gas exploration industry to keep open the cracks formed under hydraulic pressure to increase the permeability of the oil and gas containing formations.
